Students from School in Portland’s South Waterfront Say Raise Poop Scoop Fines (The Oregonian, June 2011)

Southwest Charter middle-schoolers launched a research and policy project that resulted in a first-place finish last month at the state competition for Project Citizen, a program of the Center for Civic Education. They presented their project, entitled “Poop Problem in Portland,” at Portland City Hall.
